In the middle of my Source Magazine interview, I learned something wild — my dad, Courtney Jordan, owns part of the publishing rights to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.” Through his work with Neyius Media, he invested in the catalog through Theory Entertainment — and I had NO idea.
It’s crazy to think the same rhythms that inspired my sound are actually in the family. That moment? Completely unscripted. Completely real. And it was all caught in real-time.
This wasn’t just a fire discovery — it was a reminder that legacy runs deeper than we think. I’m beyond grateful to be finding my lane in music while realizing my roots were part of the industry all along.
